TWO MAJOR LANDMARKS - AND MUSIC TOO!

Set off in fine weather and had a look at Wintour's Leap but, by the time we got to Chepstow, it was pelting down!  Luckily, it cleared by the time we got to the Severn Bridge.
There are no tolls if you're going from Wales to England so I walked the bridge eastwards and Jane drove across and walked westwards.  We swapped keys in the middle and then Jane drove the minibus over to meet me!  We both just escaped the next rain shower.
So, I've now crossed the Bristol Channel and passed the 700 mile mark!
Alice Robson is kindly putting us up tonight in Bristol.  Tonight we went to hear her playing with the Cathedral Players at Bristol Cathedral.  Lovely programme - Brahms A Major Serenade, Mozart 40 and a work for Cor Anglais and Strings called "Autumn Legend" by William Alwyn - rather nice and very well played.
Avonmouth Bridge tomorrow, then down towards Cheddar.  please don't rain too much!
