Yes - first of all we were joined on the walk by the delightful tenor, David Manford, from Co-Opera Company - then, this evening, we went to hear the Allegri String Quartet at the amazing Llanfyllin Festival. (Great to see such a large audience in such a small place!)
On top of all that, we did rather a long walk! Almost 11 miles from Porth y Waen, over Llanymynech hill, along the Montgomery canal, then over fields and alongside an impressively swollen River Severn, past Breiddon Hill to Pool Quay. The walk was made all the more strenuous and uncomfortable by 2 or 3 heavy rain showers and some very muddy (or "clahty" as we say oop north) cow-trodden paths. Still, the weather forecast is better for tomorrow - we keep on hoping!
