HAIL IN THE LAKES!

Started today's walk in a hailstorm but luckily it soon stopped and the rest of the day was fine and quite warm. Did 4 miles along the road to Mungrisdale, then up the very pretty Glendaramackin to the superb viewpoint just E of Blencathra. Then steeply down to cross another major landmark, the A66, and finished at Wallthwaite - just under 8 miles. Laura P kept me in good spirits all the way and Jane joined us at the end. Nice meal and a couple of good pints at the Old Crown in Hesket Newmarket. Hope the weather is OK tomorrow!
