Happy New Year everybody! Let's hope we can make it a better year than 2011.
Now that we've got all the Christmas concerts out of the way (we're just back from the Vosges where we had an excellent EVaCO Course) it's time to start walking again!
Weather and work intervened so I didn't quite make the Forth Bridge before Christmas but I'm hoping to go up to Scotland again on 11 January and I reckon 6 days will see me over the Bridge. Then a few windows in the weather should enable me to get past Peebles and down to Carlisle or even to the Lake District by Easter.
My problem during the winter months is accommodation and transport so, if anybody can offer a bed and/or a lift to/from the start/finish of any stage I would be very grateful - and I will gladly make a contribution to their musical charity in return for such help!
So, please pass the word on to all musical friends and colleagues - join me if you can (either for a walk or for a drink and a chat in the evenings) - it would be lovely to meet as many friends and musicians as possible.
